TWEEEST

I thought Saint Just was inlove with the sorority president, turns out they're sisters. I wonder why she's treated like shit.

Attempted suicide? Incest?

Wonder what happened to make Miya treat Saint Juste like that?

Wow that plot twist. Now I'm even more curious about why Miya treats Rei that way. I thought it was just some difficult past they shared, but hating her younger sister like that to the point of completely breaking her? Oh well, 27 episodes to go, lots of things to find out.

Sister eh? I'm guessing that Rei was either adopted or a step sister from a lower-class family, and Miya treats her as such because of it. Or perhaps Rei did something unforgivable to Miya which is why Rei doesn't resist her because Rei is to blame. Now what is it going to be...

w-WHAT. i'm shocked. no way. they're sisters? and all this time, i thought for sure, for fucking sure they were past lovers. WHO THE F-. i can't even. even when i saw childhood photos of them, i thought they had simply met during their childhood... why would you do all this shit to your sister, who quite frankly is probably having her problematic mental state being deteriorated even more by your antics. and why does miya live in that huge mansion while sainte juste is in that apartment, having only frozen pizzas to eat and mirrors to look at? were there some issues stemming from their parents or what. this is not the reality i wanted. like what the f--k. and now my comment is a test on how many times i can drop the f bomb. i am disappointed since i wanted flashbacks of what kind of lover fights they had, buuut i suppose family past flashbacks are good too... i had only enough time to watch about half of the episode but i ended up watching the entire episode, man :/ where are my priorities? even now i am wasting time writing up a comment... saint juste never fails to make me feel unsettled, especially the weird counting thing on the phone? machine? like what was up with that, or katonkatontonton. god, he's just too weird. it's like he's in lala-land hitting up a bong. how did miya know that nanako helped sainte juste out? crazy runs in the family, i see.

HOLD ON, all this time I thought Rei was in love with Miya or something....but they turned out to be sisters!?! Knowing this I just guess Rei is some step-sister or adopted, hence why Miya treats her as garbage

Ok, what? Perhaps this wouldn't have surprised me in the beginning, but after all these implications it's unexpected. There's still the possibility that they aren't blood related.

Never would have guessed sisters but I never thought they were romantically involved in any way. I just assumed blackmail of some sort.

But damn, things just got real now.

Okay, this thing threw me for an entire loop... Though I'm still holding onto one theory, but I also might have another theory... Mostly because Utena was inspired by the person who made this manga. My original theory was that Miya is in love with Kaoru, but Kaoru fell in love with Rei, while Rei is in love with Miya. So a bizarre love triangle that was present in Utena. Though I'm wondering if Miya treats Rei like crap because Miya's father had an affair with Rei's mother, which would make them half sisters. It would make sense about the affair since Rei is the younger sister.

So, Rei and Miya are related? This is interesting.

Why does Miya treat her sister so badly? Can Kaoru solve this problem?

oh no... not ex lovers but sisters. this is even worse. poor Rei. i don't think she did smth to Miya that made her a beast that she is and i don't think that's the reason Miya theats Rei so bad. my guess is that smth happened to Miya specifically and Rei somehow happened to be her main victim. also, they're sisters but they don't live together while they're still underage, so they're probably step sisters or smth?

it didn't escape my attention that Mariko and Tomoko... at least tolerate each other? did we finally reached a point of Mariko x Nanako x Tomoko friendship? i hope so.

Kaoru seems like the most sane person in the series. i hope she won't suffer much from her heart attacks or whatever her sickness was...

also what's up with these dolls? i think it's the doll from the ending and a chariot from the opening in th Rei's room? the line about petite puppet from the earlier episode is erpeated again, too.

WH...at? Sisters?

But... in the episode where Nanako first went into the tower to find Saint Juste, those scribbles on the wall heavily implied past romance between the two... To be fair, anyone could have left those, and each scribble had likely been by someone else, but they all seemed to relate to Rei. Romantic yearning, or limerence (even better fit) — for how could one, otherwise, explain Saint Juste's conduct, esp. when Miya-sama is around? But... thinking now, it could have just been "love" — sisterly love, without romantic connotations — that she wanted from Miya-sama all along... to be loved and accepted by her sister. If so, I'm going to cry...

Why does Miya-sama reject her? I could understand if Rei were, for example, "too weird" for Miya-sama, in the sense of being "socially inept" for her circle or the like, so the two of them decide to keep it a secret at school... but she still would have been nice to her, instead of so insidiously torturing her as she does. Could this be another situation of a "child from a different marriage," as a parallel to Nanako and Henmi's relationship? Worse yet, an illegitimate child... since Miya-sama's family seems rather "high-standing" and Rei could have been of "low birth", hence, her rejecting Rei as an equal. Either that by itself, or she had been the (direct or indirect) cause of some issue in the family... and, seeing her as responsible, Miya-sama cannot truly forgive her. Ah... so many questions.

In any case, Saint Juste is... not doing so well, lol. Her entire existence seems to have been reduced to a single object of desire — Miya-sama's love (or acceptance), so there is only suffering. Cold. Dark... — her room, her mind. Still, there is hope... in Nanako (she likes her), and Kaoru. Let's hope they can get through to Saint Juste before she does something "unwise" — because of the scar reveal, and the daggers again. PLEASE DON'T AIM AT KAORU! — *gulp.

On a side note, when Nanako got up "happy," I instantly took it as suspicious... and knew that the food was for Rei instead. She is so sweet. I wonder how Miya-sama will respond to Nanako's (further) involvement with Rei, and I hope it does not lead to "Nanako being bullied" episodes again. Also, it seems that Tomoko and Mariko had a bonding opportunity in going home together — I'm hoping they make up as well, so they can all hang out together.
